After 3 trips to the pediatrician and half of a day at Wolfsons Children's Hospital we still are a bit in the dark about Roe and his left leg/ foot.
It took all day Wednesday for me to get any answers as to what may possibly be our problem.
They think it may be broken.
We were called in late Wednesday afternoon to get a splint and told that he has a fracture in a very small bone on the top of his foot.
When we got there the Dr. who did the splint told me that he did not think it was broken?
hmmmm
So what next? If it is not broken he still had a pretty noticeable limp.
As strange as it sounds, around here a broken bone sounds pretty great.
The alternative scares me
One huge praise going in,
is that all the lab work came back normal so I think we can rule out a lot with that.
Now we have another (possible full day) of appts.
Tomorrow at 8:45 we are expected at orthopedics for what i am assuming will be another round of X-rays and then who knows what.
I remembered a song that we used to sing that reminds me that i am not alone in this:
He didn't bring us this far to leave us,
he didn't teach us to swim to let us drown,
he didn't build his home in us just to move away,
he didn't lift us up to let us down.
So this week instead of feeling defeated and exhausted,
we will be lifted up and exalted.
I am determined to have a better week this week.
Thank you for lifting us up
